Inner Child is the least abstract piece in this series, however in a lot of ways I view these portraits that flow to me as a bit abstract.  This face came to me as I was painting and it spoke to me as somewhat expressionless, but a bit expectant. An inner child waiting to hear that all has turned out fine?
